Another bad photo. Sorry.
This is not the city of Green River--which is 56 miles to the south--but the river itself. This stretch is south of Roosevelt (36 miles) and flows into Desolation Canyon, the deepest canyon in Utah and a popular area for white-water rafting. The distant mountains on the left are called, coincidentally, the Roan Peaks (see previous entry). On the right is Flat Top Mountain.

I stumbled upon your blog this morning, and find it so very neat that I'm not the only person who tries to replicate aerial photos on GE. I have been doing the same with photos I took on a plane trip in March, though I've been having trouble with a few Rocky Mt. photos.
